Music in the Farmer’s Market: Mamalama - Mamalama weaves together both modern and ancient musical culture through the sounds of traditional harp, violin/chincello, hammered dulcimer, cello, hurdy gurdy, native flutes, and other world-folk instrument coloration. A hypnotic song form with sweetly haunting female vocals, Mamalama is a collision of chapel-like ambience within the momentum of African rhythm, all the while tumbling around in ancient Greek modality.
