Fragrant basil and arugula, juicy berries and curly garlic scapes. Eat a falafel, catch up with friends and your local farmers. It’s a summer Wednesday afternoon, and if you’re a Woodstocker, that means it’s the Woodstock Farm Festival. Only 4 years old and already a Woodstock tradition.
But did you know that the Woodstock Farm Festival is run by a small committee of volunteers and two staff? And to provide everything from great live music to kids programs to site and traffic safety, it’s skimping by on a micro-budget that relies on a handful of heroic sponsors and friends? That’s where you come in.
If you love having a Farm Festival in Woodstock on Wednesday afternoons – the food, farmers, music and friends – and all that super-fresh, truly local produce and products… then please join our list of Local Heroes.
Become a sponsor or provide a donation to keep the Woodstock Farm Festival alive and thriving, and to support local agriculture and farmers. Any amount is deeply appreciated – and gifts of $100 or more are especially helpful. And we need to raise at least $15,000 by April 30th to get our 2012 season going.
So please be generous. And if you can, volunteer! It takes dollars, time, love and labor to keep this show on the road.
Be a Local Hero!
Very special thanks to our 2011 Sponsors
