Childrens Cooking & Nutrition Series Begins

The Queens Galley and Share Our Strength bring Operation Frontline back to the Woodstock Farm Festival for a 6 week Childrens Cooking & Nutrition Series which starts this Wednesday at 4:00pm and will run through August 4th. Children ages 8-12 are invited to participate. Participation is free but space is limited and attendance for all 6 weeks is required. There are a few spaces left.

This Week’s Recipe Contest: Strawberries

Recipe Contest Rules and Guidelines

Prepare a dish that features strawberries and join fellow Farm Festival shoppers for a recipe contest! Prepare your dish and bring it to the market along with a list of ingredients and the recipe in writing. The recipes are due 3 PM - 5:30 PM on market day and will be judged at 6 PM. This week’s judge is The Tea Shop.

One winner will be named and receive:

  • A $50 Gift Certificate to the sponsor judge’s store!
  • A featured photo of winning dish on the Farm Festival blog
  • A featured photo of winning dish and name at following week’s farm festival.
  • The community’s admiration!

Brian Madden with the Neo Trio - Jazz and Blues Show starts at 5pm on the main stage.

Music in the Farmer’s Market:

Miriam Rose – Miriam Rose is seven years old, and has been playing violin since she was three and a half. Miriam plays a mostly classical repertoire, with a few surprises that show the range of her musical interests. Starts at 5:30 in the farmers’ market.
