HEY KIDS!

Do you know when we call something a fruit? A fruit is the part of a plant of tree that contains the seeds. A fruit is usually juicy and fleshy. Some fruits, such as tomatoes and eggplants, are eaten like vegetables.

Do you know when we call something a vegetable? A vegetable is any part of a plant other than the fruit that is used for food. These are leaves (lettuce/spinach), buds (Brussels sprouts), flowers (broccoli/cauliflower), shoot (celery, asparagus_, roots (carrot, radish, beets), and tubers (potato).
