MAD ABOUT MUSHROOMS

When it comes to mycological predilections (which in simple English means how you feel about mushrooms), Western civilization can be divided into two groups – those who love mushrooms, the mycophiles, and those who fear them, the mycophobes. The U.S. is among the countries that has a history of not only fearing, but actually demonizing wild mushrooms. In recent times, as mushroom growing has become more popular, some of these old attitudes have changed. Judging from the exotic varieties in the Farmers’ Market from Bulich Mushroom Company, this is a welcome evolution.

Did You Know...?

The mushroom is actually a fruit that contains the organism’s seeds or spores.
