NOW IN SEASON - BROCCOLI

Stir Fried Broccoli with Garlic
You can also do this with fresh green beans when they come to market.

1 pound broccoli
2 tablespoons olive oil
6 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon soy sauce

Cut broccoli into thin trees or separate the forets and peel the stalks and slice into thin sticks.

Heat the oil in a wok and stir-fry the broccoli and garlic for 5 minutes. Keep the heat fairly high to singe the broccoli slightly.

Add salt and soy sauce. Cover, lower heat and let stew for about 5 minutes, or until broccoli is done to taste.



Yield: 4 servings
