Give Peas a Chance
Fresh peas are a super snack. At one time peas were rare – only rich people could afford them. Now they are available everywhere, but if you want to enjoy them when they are the best, you have to be quick. They are found in the market (and local gardens) mostly in the late spring and early summer. Pick them when the pods are bright green and filled with lots of peas. If you think it’s too much work to open the pods, try snow peas or sugar peas – you can eat them pod and all.
